During a mathematical course in calculus in 1980s, I had a period when I was preoccupied with the problem how to describe the function of an oval egg with the simplest possible function. I then put the preliminary results in a drawer until I completed the analysis 2023. Maybe the presented equation could be developed to a more general function, which describes all existing eggs in simplest possible way, but, unfortunately, I do not have the time to carry this task through.
I have also made some films, where I vary the different parameters to examine the formula. I have also made a comparison between the eggs described by the formula and real avian egg to see how close the the formula resemble real avian eggs. Just click on the links above to find out yourself.
