My mathematical interest is mainly focused on the concept of randomness, both from a pure mathematical view-point and from a philosophical view-point. I have described these perspectives in my book “Tiden är ett barn”, where chapter 5, 6, 7 and 14 give a quite thorough picture of my ideas in this area of mathematics. The essay “An inquiry concerning common misconceptions about randomness“, which is uniquely published on this home page, gives a complementing view of these ideas, and implies that there must be some thing missing in the prevalent laws of physics. They can be considered as a further development of the crucial status of future-directed probabilities and their past-directed counterpart i the real world as described real world, as they are described in the work of physicists as Satosi Watanabe and philosophers of science Elliott Sober and Frank Arntzeius.
Under this heading, I also present a simple equation that describes oval eggs, as well as a paradox that deals with a misconception about randomness.
